Dunmow House Clearances is a small local business providing affordable and efficient property clearance services local householders and, as part of Essex House Clearances, to property owners and landlords acrosss most of Essex.
Being a small local business we don’t spend fortunes on advertising and instead take care to provide a friendly, personal and efficient service, which is why we get most of our work from customer recommendations. We do also also provide clearance services for property and estate agents, either as a one-off or for regular work, so if you represent a property management company or landlords and need help with property clearances, please get in touch.
We’re well aware that there are often unhappy circumstances surrounding house clearances and we do our best to be as discreet and efficient as possible.
Before we accept any clearance bookings we will visit the property to make an assessment of the work involved, and to provide customers with an accurate quote.
We sometimes find that some of the unwanted furniture we’re asked to clear from properties is reusable. As we’re not involved in selling second-hand furniture, we prefer where possible to donate saleable items to charitable causes, and in 2020 these will include British Heart Foundation, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, and Farleigh Hospice. If you have a specific charity in mind we will gladly ask them what items they accept by way of donations. Most charities will only accept items that are in good enough condition to resell in their shops and in most cases, soft furnishings and electrical goods are not accepted, for safety reasons.
